Common errors and what to do

What TikTok’s error messages mean and how to fix them.

Format not accepted
Export the video as MP4 (H.264) or MOV. WebM works too.
Length not allowed
The video is longer than the account allows (see the maximum length when you pick the account). Trim it.
Resolution or frame rate not allowed
TikTok expects 360-4096 pixels per side and 23-60 frames per second.
Daily limit
TikTok limits how many videos an account can post through apps per day. Try tomorrow or post from TikTok.
Connection no longer valid
You removed access in TikTok or a year has passed. Connect the account again under “TikTok accounts”.
Private accounts only
Until the TikTok audit, posting only works as “Only me”, to private accounts.

Open a failed post from “Posts” and press “Try again”: it takes you back to the posting form with your settings kept.
