TikTok settings, explained

What each option in the posting form means and why nothing is pre-selected.

Who can view this video

The options come straight from TikTok, for your account: Everyone, Friends (mutual follows), Followers or Only me. A private account has no “Everyone”. TikTok requires you to make this choice for every video, so the list starts empty.

Comments, Duet, Stitch

They stay off until you turn them on. If you turned one off in your TikTok account settings, it appears greyed out in OLO and cannot be turned on.

Commercial content disclosure

Turn the switch on if the video promotes a brand, product or service. Then choose “Your brand” (you promote yourself; the video gets the “Promotional content” label) or “Branded content” (you promote someone else; “Paid partnership” label). Branded content cannot be set to “Only me”.

AI-generated content

Turn it on if the images or voice are generated with artificial intelligence. TikTok adds the “AI-generated” label.

Cover

Use the slider under the preview to choose the frame used as the cover.
